Creating a Referral Share

Using the Admin CLI

Command:

share-create --name referral-share --path /test/referral \
--referral-path /remote/target \
--referral-address 192.168.1.100 \
--referral-address 192.168.1.101

Using the Management GUI

Creating a referral share works like creating a normal share:

  1. In the Shares view, next to the Create Share button, select Create Referral Share. The wizard presents three tabs:

    • Share Details – Specify name, export path, and enable the Referral Share option.

    • NFS – Enter the NFS specification.

    • SMB – Optional settings if SMB export integration is needed.

  2. Click Create to finish.
