Before you plan a TLS deployment that uses other backend storage, confirm with the storage vendor that the product and release you run support NFS over TLS (RFC 9289) with mutual authentication, and test it.

When TLS is required, Hammerspace mounts every backend storage volume with TLS, and a volume whose storage cannot complete a mutual TLS handshake becomes unavailable. This also applies to backup servers. Verify TLS support with all storage vendors and backup-server vendors before starting a TLS deployment.
